The RV Wingman asks “What the hell”?

The emails pour into the RV Wingman’s inbox every week. Many of them are complaints from angry RVers and justifiably so. Others leave him scratching his head and wondering “what in the world”? That’s the situation he talks about in this opening Segment of The RV Show USA when a first-time buyer asks for advice in how “not to get taken”. You won’t believe what this buyer expects from his RV dealer. The problem is, the buyer has no idea that his expectations and requirements for purchase will likely NEVER be met by a single dealer in the country. Find out what this buyer expects and how the comments/advice the Wingman has for him.

Does anyone in the RV Industry really listen to RVers?

Kenny Miller, Lead design engineer for the Flagstaff/Rockwood division of Forest River discusses what happens “behind closed doors” at the plant as well as how they view comments, input and suggestions from RVers regarding future product changes. And Kenny shares one thing that; in the Wingman’s opinion helps separate Flagstaff/Rockwood from so many other manufacturers. This is episode #20-30 in our Ask the Manufacturer series.

The Wingman is worried about this Military Vet

The RV Wingman receives emails and voice messages on a regular basis and does his best to get back to everyone. So many people need some advice. So many people are concerned. What’s the right thing to do? In this short segment, the Wingman reads a recent email from a veteran suffering from PTSD and is on SSDI. With a very limited budget, this military hero purchased a 20 year old motorhome sight unseen. He’s going to take delivery of it and now he’s asking for some help and advice. Will the Wingman sugar-coat his response? Will the Wingman provide some helpful advice that you can learn from? Take a quick listen and decide for yourself.

So “THAT’s how they do it!”

The Wingman garnered some interview time with the Lead Design Engineer from the Rockwood/Flagstaff division of Forest River to discuss how they go about implementing new designs into their RVs. Kenny Miller shares the “how” changes in RVs take place as well as some of the things he looks at when he walks in an RV. You may be surprised at how he sees things as compared to how you may see things in this episode 20-29 in our Ask the Manufacturer series.

Addicted to bringing joy to others. Literally!

The Wingman finds a guest with a heart of gold in Las Vegas. She also has an addiction; a healthy addiction that brings joy to thousands of complete strangers with a very simple “act” of kindness. Evidently, it’s an act of kindness to strangers that has captured the imagination of tens of thousands of others (including many RVers) across the nation. In today’s challenging and divisive times, the Wingman thought a story about kindness and the people that bring kindness to others would be a welcome break from the non-stop negativity that surrounds us.

Are all RVs really Junk? The Wingman talks trash!

The Wingman shares the story of a man he met who’s on his 4th RV in 2 years, the tens of thousands of dollars he lost in that 2 year period and other mistakes he made along the way. It’s an eye-opening (and sobering) monologue with some words of advice for any buyer of a new RV that should be heeded. Plus, it’s another “thank you” from a man who just received more than $5,000 back when he followed the Wingman’s instructions on how to Cancel a Good Sam ESP. Great info. Sobering, but great.

Just say NO to your RV Dealer!

One of the most common complaints the Wingman hears from consumers is one that could’ve been avoided entirely. In this Ask the Manufacturer Segment, Flagstaff/Rockwood Customer Service representative Melissa Hoover give her advice to consumers who’re buying a new RV that isn’t campground ready. She also discusses the importance of understanding your RV’s warranty and the difference between Owner’s responsibilities and those of the Manufacturer and how to approach making a warranty claim.

Has Camping World kept their promises to consumers?

In this opening segment of The RV Show USA, you’ll hear from actual RVers who’re beyond disappointed in the treatment they’ve received from Camping World. These are real customers with real stories and should be considered when deciding what Dealer you are going to buy your RV from. FYI, Marcus Lemonis (CEO of Camping World) has an open invitation to join the Wingman in the studio for a live stream to take calls and questions from listeners.

The most cringeworthy complaint from RVers is….?

Handling customer service calls and emails is second nature to Melissa Hoover from the Rockwood/Flagstaff division of Forest River. But one type of issue seems to get more attention than any other. What is it? And how does this professional feel about this issue? More importantly, how has her division responded?

Be the Coolest Camper in the Campground!

Technology has solved the problem of your RV’s A/C not being able to keep you cool on those hot summer days. In this interview, you’ll learn about a product that will allow an RVer to run BOTH A/C units off of 30amp power! This “install-it-yourself” device is making RVing more comfortable for RVers everywhere who’re trying to stay cool in their RVs on the hottest of days. How will this technology make YOUR RVing experiences better? Take a listen and find out as the Wingman visits with SoftStart USA’s Doug Curtis.
